A roaring fire beckons us with flame and heat, the perfect enticement to open our hearts and share the paths we’ve walked.
An ancient ritual that forms bonds between friends and newcomers, enlarging the quilt of many colors with stitches of commonality and empathy. Keep sharing your stories with loved ones or the stranger on the path. You never know how you may impact another life by speaking as well as listening with open ears.
Be well and we will light the fire 🔥 again in February 2026.

Ohayo Mountain from the ridge at Snake Rocks ~ I would walk out , the yawn of the screen door saying have a good walk. Take a left at the end of the driveway. Another left onto Yerry Hill Rd, until Nordic Dr and then straight up to Snake Rocks. A splendid playground to look back at Ohayo, my home

Ha! We got a good bit, but the wind and surf were the real story. The dunes along hywy12 and the ocean on Pea Island are gone! And the yard here is full of leaves and pine cones. I’ve been babysitting dogs, Zeus is elder, so haven’t gone over to ocean to check the beach here

It was an engineering triumph still in use today, gravity fed and untreated water from the Catskills to NYC. The Ashokan is the first place Pete brought me when I came up to visit. It has a presence that I can’t explain. Many towns under all that water.
