The % of immigrants as a part of the US pop is the same as it was when my family came over in the early 20th century. My Nana came over as a teenager working as a maid, and yet her kids died fighting fascism on DDay, her grandkids became doctors, and her great-grandkids ended up in the White House.

This episode and the one late on Thanksgiving evening (that was very clearly not written by him) really opens the door to questions about who has access to the President's social media logins, especially given that he, unlike basically any other president, actually uses social media to issue orders.

Sen. Bernie Moreno, R-Ohio, just introduced a bill to ban Americans from holding dual citizenship. The bill says that to “preserve the integrity of national citizenship, allegiance to the United States must be undivided.” It’s called the Exclusive Citizenship Act.

Look, am I glad this article finally got written? Yes. But the amount of times the article takes a dig at President Biden (both by publishing full rants from Trump about him and also offhand shots from professors) is a bit glaring.
There's plenty I disagree with Nagy on, but on this we certainly agree. This is a disastrous decision by the Trump Administration. I have seen first hand how impressive the MWF and YALI alumni are, and how impactful they have been in their communities across all sectors.

This would be a massive, historic crime even if no one died — a rich guy is not permitted to arbitrarily close a government agency in a law-based society — but the massive body count turns it into an atrocity, the kind of thing we put people on trial for at The Hague.

Having grown up in Western Mass (and lived in Boston), I don't think that particular attitude has changed much. Wouldn't recommend anyone test that, either.
