Stephen Miller on Fox threatens to arrest JB Pritzker for "seditious conspiracy" and says, "to all ICE officers: you have federal immunity in the conduct of your duties. And anybody who lays a hand on you or tries to stop or obstruct you is committing a felony."

The dream of every Muslim is simply to be treated the same as any other New Yorker.

And yet, for too long, we have been told to ask for less than that, and endure hatred and bigotry in the shadows.

No more.

here's how the question was phrased lol

Here's a photo of my friend and colleague, Jorge Bautista, getting shot in the face with a flashbang grenade. The ICE Agent is so afraid of Jorge (who was posing no threat) that he has wet himself. Please share this photo. Everyone needs to know what cowards ICE agents are.

“Do it now so you have some control over the process, or federal preemption is coming” is such a smarmy take that I would genuinely vote against it out of pure spite if I were on that commission.
Former US Sen. Kyrsten Sinema lobbies for data center developer at Chandler AZ Plan Commission. Says she's working "hand in glove" w Trump Admin & warns city to embrace DCs or face federal intervention. City Council vote on Sinema's DC scheduled for Nov. 13.

we should still come down hard on antisemitism, of course. but our candidates don't have to do the same off-putting rituals of deference because Israel has destroyed their moral brand with American voters

Mamdani's going to win, over a Cuomo backed in the primary by almost every establishment figure in the state, and what makes that so exciting is that in winning the mayoralty of a city with the largest Jewish diaspora, he's shattering the old rules about how you can talk about Israel and still win.
A few weeks before his stunning loss to Zohran Mamdani in the Democratic mayoral primary, former Gov. Andrew Cuomo put forth a political calculus long accepted as fact in New York: “Being a Democrat,” he said, “it’s synonymous that you support Israel.”

Then came Zohran Mamdani
Backing Israel was considered mandatory for New York politicians. Then came Zohran Mamdani
Zohran Mamdani, who would be the city’s first Muslim mayor, could be on the cusp of shattering that convention.

'is nursing blue-collar work' is one of those questions we really need to address because while the education might say not the working conditions and level of unionization is an emphatic yes
women are about 78% of the healthcare workforce in america. i know people know this but it’s always worthwhile to state it outright. not only is it gendered to underpay healthcare workers but men who get “caught up” in it are undervalued for doing female-coded work. same with teachers.
It will never not bother me how often when you’re talking to someone — in life, for work, w/e — who is struggling that that person works in healthcare. Nurses, orderlies, home health aids, people who draw blood, etc

yeah absolutely. absolutely normal endorsement cycle where the party chairman threatens to resign over the governor's endorsement, the office of the Speaker of the House is making threats, and the junior senator goes on a podcast blind drunk to give a racist rant.

like I know that the GOP is a very dumb party at times but this seems really obvious to like anyone with remotely a touch of political interest or awareness
It's a bit concerning regarding entryism if the
GOP could create a Dem candidate who makes platitudes about Palestinians and can still get a chunk of support during the primary process. Not saying he was a plant (yet), but uhh

Monthly DoD payroll is ~$16 billion. This supposed "gift" would cover less than 1% of that amount.

If split evenly among active duty service members, each would get just under $100.

Reporters who don't challenge on this are committing egregious malpractice.

Establishment Democrats spent a full year complaining the Left forced them to be “woke.”

But then a left populist, Graham Platner, threatened to win in Maine, so they went right back to trying to cancel someone over old internet posts.
