“Over the course of three decades of making movies, The Cinema of Paul Thomas Anderson has changed a lot, but his fascination with how people and things do or do not change, has remained amazingly consistent.”

Someone asked what happened to the casual Nazi at the end of WWII. The people who supported the Party

The answer? Suicides and murders. If they weren’t beaten to death or shot in the streets, they killed themselves

There’s a book called Promise Me You’ll Shoot Yourself by Florian Huber about it.
The mass suicides by ordinary citizens in the last days of Nazi Germany
Historian Florian Huber's book examines how civilians took their own lives in greater numbers than military and government officials as the Third Reich collapsed
Soviet Army officers observe the bodies of women who committed
suicide in a Vienna park at the end of World War II.

Republicans: “Stop calling us Nazis just because you disagree with us.”

Young Republican group: “I love Hitler.”

This Congressman’s office:
For years, on Apple Music, the cover art for Lookout Weekend looked like the picture on the left. Within the last year it’s switched to the art on the right. Neither particularly looks like Debbie, right?

What do I know and I'm not saying it's a magic bullet or anything like that but it sure seems to me that Dems should run hard on the Argentina bailout. Not anywhere near the worst thing Trump has done, but i suspect it's unusually clarifying.
Jeffries: "It's perplexing to us that Rs refuse to spend a dime to protect the healthcare of the American people, but somehow the Trump admin found $40b to bail out a right-wing wannabe dictator in Argentina in ways that are also going to continue to hurt our soybean farmers in Iowa & the Midwest"

very funny that JD Vance has so little to do with his time that he goes on podcasts to defend 30-year-old men for saying how much they love Hitler
JD Vance dismisses Young Republicans who in a group chat said "I love Hitler" and joked about slavery and rape as "a bunch of kids" who "told stupid jokes" and adds that "most of the stupid things I did when I was a teenager and young adult, they're not on the internet."

Every time you see Mike Davis do Mike Davis things, think about Gorsuch reportedly helping land Davis a job at DOJ, then choosing him as a clerk when he was on the 10th Circuit, then choosing him as a clerk when he was on the Supreme Court.
Hakeem Jeffries posted pictures of two Rep. Members posing with “Young Republicans” who were part of a racist text thread (as reported by Politico).

In response, Mike Davis (well-connected in Trump World & on the Hill) called Jeffries a “house slave” for George Soros - proving Jeffries’ point.

I seem to recall that it was the biggest 1st Amendment attack in American history when the Biden admin alerted social media companies to some content and said "hey does this violate your policies?" Will Matt Taibbi, Michael Shellenberger and (lol) CBS News Editor in Chief Bari Weiss call this out?
Tweet from Pam Bondi:

Today following outreach from
@thejusticedept
, Facebook removed a large group page that was being used to dox and target
@ICEgov
 agents in Chicago.

The wave of violence against ICE has been driven by online apps and social media campaigns designed to put ICE officers at risk just for doing their jobs. The Department of Justice will continue engaging tech companies to eliminate platforms where radicals can incite imminent violence against federal law enforcement.

Drew Struzan was the greatest movie poster artist who ever lived. We can’t think of so many of our most beloved movies without thinking of his art. I had his 1978 Star Wars re-release poster hanging on my wall for years. RIP to a true legend in what is sadly now a mostly lost art form.
