Six pro-Palestine prisoners are on hunger strike across UK prisons.
Their demands: the right to a fair trial, freedom from censorship, and the deproscription of Palestine Action.

They’re being punished for standing against genocide.
Their struggle is one of conscience — and solidarity. 🇵🇸

Today's fun bit of trivia, thanks to a copy of the selected M+E correspondence that I stole, is that the whole 18th Brumaire farcical repetition analogy is due to Engels. More people could stand to read more Engels, as ever.

I'd become USian to vote for Transgender for Everyone, tbh.

"the worst thing you can do to someone is call them racist" is simply consensus common wisdom among the white establishment. Media, academia, politics, hell, the supreme court has explicitly made law predicated on the idea that the worst thing you can possibly do is call a state government racist.
It’s funny that even now, with everything we know, there’s still a retreat towards treating racism as somehow uniquely unbelievable.

The rainbow-striped coat with a large number of straps, belts, and restraints attached? Yeah, that's a gayjacket.

Not to be a headbanging structuralist about it, but I think the US Government has a qualitatively different relationship to Bluesky than you or I do.

I feel like "has become" is a bit silly for a party that has existed for about 35 minutes. Oh, for the comradely and open Your Party of September...
Heart-breaking : The worst independent MP you know just made a great point.

How annoying is running a home server these days? Is there a simple manual of best practices and recommended hw/sw?

Terribly sorry, Mr Prime Minister, but that strangulation porn appears to have been load-bearing for the stability of your office.

Well if you've tried racism and you've tried transphobia and you still aren't ahead in the polls, then I'm afraid us Labour strategists are all out of ideas. Godspeed!

Amazon can search my entire history of consumption since I was 15, throw it through one of the world's largest stockpiles of computational power, and conclude that I should be advertised a Warhammer audiobook. This is their business model, as one of the most valuable companies in history.
