#ACVI Coolest match I ever lost
Croc tank controls made me the man I am today. You must become a game-shaped peg to fit the game-shaped hole
The question today was "Can I swap the projection plane for a Bezier surface to simulate a custom lens?" Yeah I can
Same reason my paintings got fewer and further apart, and why I never used the same style more than twice. Also the main thing that distinguishes the games I'll play for 2 hours and 200 hours (and why I barely play games at all now). I've consumed all the low-hanging fruit already
Took years and years for me to figure out the only thing that motivates me is curiosity. I can't do anything productive until I get the "what if" itch and have to scratch it. What motivates other people? It's so fundamental that I'm struggling to even imagine other modalities for action

Rog can use Battery Blocks to restore power to the city's holograms (at least for a little while...)

A piece of artwork by Jun Suemi titled "Ritual of Surrender" most likely featured in an artbook since it had a seam between pages. Said seam was removed, applying the usual upscale/clean/retouch process.
Moreover, was the cartridge bus really so capable that they weren't just wasting cycles shunting the data over? The Saturn poisoned my expectations for that with how comparatively useless the RAM cart was for anything but storing extra graphics. Homebrew scene seems to think it's not worth touching
Isn't bespoke chip design supposed to be hard and expensive? Why did the SNES have 19 different enhancement chips. How did Hayazashi Nidan Morita Shogi 2 afford an ST018 that was roughly 5x the hardware's base clock speed just for player AI
It's a game predicated entirely on its art, to the point where they could've just cut the combat entirely and made a Love-de-Lic type game where you run around talking to people. They had so much fun coming up with insane character designs to do little puppet shows with their dioramas
Revisiting Legend of Mana and realizing what a freak mutation it was: Square made a 2D RPG concurrently with FFVIII and brought that experience to bear on a genre they had already killed. So you have a world with the pacing and staging of these pre-rendered RPGs, but with hand-painted backgrounds

Bound High! for the Virtual Boy is honestly one of my favorite games, I don't know how you justify a VB collection without giving that an actual release
I vote Africastle

as it happens, Paon let some of those initial designs out of the vault semi-recently, both in the French quarterly Retro Lazer & alongside Windjammers 2, so if you've ever wondered how this version might've looked, wonder no more

TENGO PROJECT SHATTERHAND REMAKE AAAAAAAAAAA
Natsume Atari has filed a trademark for Shatterhand in Japan: chizai-watch.com/t/2025097921

Shatterhand is a 2D action game originally released for NES. The trademark might suggest a remake or sequel is in the works, a la Shadow of the Ninja Reborn or Pocky & Rocky Reshrined.
Doing 2005 forum signature stuff to my photos since my laptop needs a wallpaper. Forgot how fun this is after digital painting made me snooty about photo editing

Look, I'll play a free-to-play GAAS Skate instead of Skate 4, but you can't expect me to be too happy about it.

Another demo for an unused CHIP N DALE: RESCUE RANGERS theme song, this time done, ostensibly, in the style of singer James Brown…
