So, if anyone wanna add me to your gaming friends here's my info:
PSN - Kazemaru-san
Switch - SW-0337-3504-4033
Let me know if you do! I mostly like to snoop around and see what people are playing, not much of an online gaming person.🙃

The artwork of SVC Chaos: #SNK vs. #Capcom by Falcoon used on the cover of the Japanese #PlayStation 2 release (1st image) and Japanese #Xbox release (2nd image without the BG). This one was also used on the back cover of the PAL PS2 release. Simple upscale with minor retouch.

I bought Dominus from Play-Asia but the other two were from xtralife. From Play-Asia was a bit cheaper but took longer. xtralife also has the Deluxe variants available for the three collections but I decided to invest on the regular ones (budget and space).😅

Good stuff here!

I am covering EVERY First Person Shooter EVER made in Japan.

From 1985 to 2025, that's over 40 years and 70 games of gaming history.

Link: youtu.be/F80Cl6WzBNo?...

This was without a doubt the most ambitious video I've ever made.

An obscure piece of #Splatterhouse artwork most likely featured on a Japanese magazine, just in time for Halloween season. Removed a small element from the top left side, taking few liberties, applying the usual upscale/clan/retouch process. No clue on the artist.
Splatterhouse clean artwork most likely featured on a Japanese magazine. Image depicts the main protagonist Rick holding a 2x4 with both hands, sporting his hockey mask and blue outfit with a monster with huge sharp claws standing next to him. This monster strangely resembles the Tyrant from the Resident Evil series.

Yeah, my bad! I forgot to read "unlicensed" under the game info. I thought the background on the game's cover was kinda weird but sometimes they differ between versions.😅

It certainly resembles his style.

The artwork of Soul Blader aka Soul Blazer in the west used for advertising in magazines and also on the OST insert. Usual upscale/clean/retouch process applied. Still a bit cropped on the bottom. No clue on the artist, any info let me know!

The artwork of Solar Striker used on the cover of the Japanese #GameBoy release. Unfortunately sources weren't good so the result isn't up to my standards. Removed logo, taking a few liberties, applying the usual upscale/clean/retouch. No clue on the artist, any info let me know.

Obrigado! Por acaso gostava que este tivesse ficado maior mas foi o que se arranjou.😅

My appreciation post for this one! Not a stellar game by any means, frustratingly difficult in some spots, but I kinda enjoyed it (especially the control scheme) despite its flaws. Alien Trilogy is a better game overall.

The Castlevania/Contra/Gradius/TMNT (a licensing hell, I'm assuming for this one) collections were a nice surprise but still there's so much more they could do with their IPs.

Yeah, there's quite a lot more. But I feel the ReBirth series would be an easy pick to kick start things since when compared to other games, they're fairly recent, and probably easier to port since M2 handled those.
peachflavor3d.bsky.social
Konami is also sleeping on the ReBirth series... it's about time those are unshackled from the Wii prison.

This game is 35 years old and still a blast to play through! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fall of the Foot Clan on the #Gameboy is perfect! I wonder why the #NES version wasn't like this but even better.

Yeah, it really resembles the art from those now that you've mentioned it.

This is cool but I wish they could at least tried to recreate the original look and feel regarding boxes, manuals, and cart labels without infringing any legal stuff, obviously. I mean, it's not that hard and it would look less like a bootleg.

The artwork of #Silkworm used on the cover of the North American #NES release. Restored by removing logos/text, using different sources, adding a missing bit at the bottom, applying the usual upscale/clean/retouch process. No clue on the artist, any info let me know!

Tenchu is one of my favorite PS1 games, even being clunky as hell in some areas. The soundtrack though, is perfect! Tenchu 2 improved upon the formula, introduced the level editor for us westerners which was quite fun. But the series really hit the top for me on the PS2.

Always a treat to read articles like this!

I wrote a long article about Rieko Kodama, her career at Sega, the evolution of her company, the games she worked on (including some canceled games and/or games for which she is not credited), the status of women and working conditions in the video game industry, etc.
