It's odd how people feel so strongly about putting solar panels on good agricultural land, but think nothing of all the land set aside so rich people can graze their horses, play golf, and shoot pheasants

Almost like they've been sold a narrative

With 7 months left to go in the fiscal year, the City of LA has already spent $90 MILLION or 48% of it's annual liability budget.

At this rate, the City will surpass $200 million in liability payouts (like last two fiscal years). It's a BIG REASON why the City is in bad $ shape.

I once knew a Federal bank examiner, and one time someone asked him why we had to KEEP inspecting banks over and over. He basically said every new batch of business school grads invents bank fraud from first principles.

The underlying cause of every bubble - debt masquerading as financial innovation - depends on not just short financial memory & speculative neophytism, but reinventing jargon of finance, like how each generation of kids has new ways to say same things.

The Democratic party needs change. It is time for a new generation of leaders to stand up to Trump, and to all those complicit in sabotaging the American Dream. Our country needs a comeback. Americans deserve better, and if the Democratic Party is to deliver, new leaders must rise, stand, and fight.

Important to understand the Epstein stuff and the fascism and the corruption are, in a lot of ways, really all the same story from different angles: powerful men who can and do abuse vulnerable people around them because they can, and because systems of elite accountability catastrophically failed
