Here is a starter pack of SANS Instructors for all kinds of good infosec stuff.

I’m still collecting more names and will update this list as updated as possible.

I understand that a lot of folks have been misled by fear-mongering and powerful regressive voices but it’s still astonishing to me that so many have fallen for the idea that oppressively policing other people’s gender identity and expression could in any way be part of an enlightened future.

Unitary executive theory? More like lunatic executive theory, amirite?

Next step: “let’s join a zoom call with 385 people who personally experienced the thing you just said does not happen.”
this was a really powerful approach to questioning noem—bringing the actual people impacted by her reign of terror. from her perch it's easy to see these cases as abstractions but she needs to be confronted with them at every turn.
MAGAZINER: How many veterans have you deported?

NOEM: We haven't deported veterans

Another good opportunity to remind you of Deth Veggie's First Law of the Internet: LIE TO EVERY SITE ABOUT ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING YOU CAN.

Fake names, fake birthdays, fake pets' names, and maiden names, and first streets, and schools and... everything you can.
US could ask tourists for five-year social media history before entry
The plan would affect people from countries, including the UK, who can fill out a form in lieu of a visa.

People keep wondering why they're going after Venezuela. It's because they want to do regime change and control its oil, then use a big tract of land there to keep a tax free "network state" that looks like Dubai but operates like Rhodesia. They are saying this out loud! Believe them!

Hmmm. I’d have to say “TCP/IP Illustrated” or a stack of 2600 Magazine issues.
omg. Kat Abughazaleh just posted that if she's elected, she'll swear in on a copy of Octavia Butler's Parable of the Sower.

If you were elected to public office (never mind whether you'd ever actually run), what book would you swear in on?

Mr. Rubio said switching back to Times New Roman would “restore decorum and professionalism to the department’s written work.” Calibri is “informal” when compared to serif typefaces like Times New Roman and “clashes” with the department’s official letterhead. www.nytimes.com/2025/12/09/u...

Chef’s kiss. And I wouldn’t be surprised in secretary road rules and the worm present this plan within a week.
"Under our 'Airport 2026' plan, we'll repurpose baggage claim conveyor belts as treadmills when not in use delivering baggage.

Additionally, individuals who pay for 'TSA ground check' can get some cardio in by assisting baggage handlers loading and unloading aircraft."

This is a perfect take on the AI madness. Humans are getting dumber by the day and these grift platforms are just accelerating the downfall.
This entire grift relies on convincing people that they don't know how to do the things they have always known how to do, and ironically, if it works, we will, in a very short amount of time, forget how to do all the things we have always known how to do.
Jimmy Fallon: "And do you use ChatGPT when raising your baby?"

Sam Altman: "I cannot imagine figuring out how to raise a newborn without ChatGPT."

Yeah nobody has ever been able to raise a kid without an untrustworthy toddler to guide them. What a bizarre and embarrassing take.

I’m starting to think the techbros are just wealthy idiots who convince other wealthy idiots to give them money.

I spent WAY too long on a simple “don’t run bash script if it’s already running” solution. Here’s what I eventually worked out in case it’s helpful #bash #shellscript

OTHER_PIDS=$( pidof -x -o %PPID "$( basename $0 )" )
if [ -n "${OTHER_PIDS}" ]; then
# script is already running

Reading this article should make you physically ill. You should also absolutely read it.

It’s past time for us all to decide where our “red line” is and what we will do when this stain of an administration crosses it.
They're using the confinement box, one of the most horrific methods of CIA torture in the post-9/11 black sites, against migrants now. This is the direct result of the lack of consequences for the architects of the torture program. Either there will be criminal penalties for this or it will expand.
