Started implementing spell mutators today! Mutators are extra effects that can change the way a spell works. It can be subtle, or not so subtle.

Today let's demonstrate modifying the Cone spell to utilize the "Prismatic" mutator, which will randomize the element of each shot!

About to dip my toes into audio production soon… the big question is whether or not I want my game’s audio to be realistic.

I’m half tempted to make these complex, sophisticated environmental soundscapes with multilayered audio using nothing but rudimentary SNES-era compressed synth effects.

I knew a labret piercing was a bad idea...where most villainous masterminds twiddle their mustache, I now aggressively, constantly rotate my piercing on the z-axis (i'm in Blender right now so z is up... 😌)

Soundscapes now functioning! Today I also added different audio effects for different rooms. None of these effects and sounds are final or anything -- I just wanted to know that it worked and it does! ✨

I could use some unhinged sounds for the next update. I might do that...

Creating Source Engine-styled soundscapes. Each room is associated with an environment, and each has its own FX settings and sounds that play based on various parameters (frequency, pitch/volume rand, etc).

First instance of audio in the game! Wanted to build a strong foundation 😤

Happy Anniversary to Breath of Fire IV on PS1! 🎂🎉

Released in North America in 2000, and still one of Capcom’s most underrated RPGs. The music, the art, the warmth mixed with darkness. It’s such a standout from the golden era of JRPGs.

I’m finally about to start implementing audio for Coruncopia and I was curious if Godot friends had opinions on how to best structure this?

Currently thinking of just making a singleton that creates audio streams on itself with a function call, but I wanna really spend some time before committing.

Grew up in a house of four half-siblings who each were several years older than me, and both parents worked full time jobs. They learned they could put video games in front of me and that I’d govern myself.

Dunno when I decided that making games would be my pursuit. I was too young to remember.

I think it’s important to assume that, in the name of a dying trend, people with this mindset will make their company radioactive as an employment opportunity while slowly ridding it of the humans who gave it meaning to begin with
