I always think of it like climbing out of a hole. It's easier to help someone once you've climbed out and made a ladder for others than to carry everyone on your back. But it's their choice to take the ladder.

I'd say symbol of hate in the community is taking it a bit far. I'm not saying you shouldn't react negatively to someone who's had a negative impact on you, but not everyone is always in the loop about what happened to who. Plus I believe in giving people the space to change their ways.

Plus if the artist needs the funds, a commission is a commission. If people don't like who commissioned them, then support that artist so they can have the luxury to decline a commission if they want to.
