This is why I'm always mad at videogame collections leaving out the bad spin offs and versions. Playing shitty games is part of 1) getting to know a series 2) being a fan of anything 3) enjoying a medium. They want you to think playing the ones that got +80 on Metacritic is the same and it isn't

We did something different with the credits for Demonschool. We used this format: name, title, lengthy description of what they did. Often you see credits in games where you don't know what the credited developer was actually responsible for. We wanted to give people proper, actual credit.

Another thing about Blippo+ that made me want to write about it: I think video games are uniquely good at preserving the experience of interfacing with old technology, and while a lot of retro tech/software in games is there for fun aesthetic reasons, this is a real strength of the medium

I'm trying to replay Persona 4 Golden but only while I'm on the treadmill, hoping that it'll work in two ways: so I don't get burned out on the game (since I know I'd be playing way too much otherwise) and to encourage myself to use the fucking treadmill.
