One reason Rob Reiner’s death was so shocking is that he was a living embodiment of a gentle, righteous, kind humanity. Trump’s reaction, meanwhile, was an embodiment of his inhumanity, vile as it is. We all get to choose which one we would want to be. www.thestar.com/opinion/star...
Bruce Arthur: Donald Trump’s reaction to Rob Reiner’s death is vile, even for him
The U.S. president's social media post hits a celestial level of narcissism, and is another implicit call to political violence.

🌹 In honor of Rob Reiner, who's most important work was standing against an inadequate, little man who lives in a constant state of jealousy, as he lowers the bar of humanity into the dirt, so that even he can occasionally clear it.

📌Reiner brought us a lifetime of joy, Trump only endless distress.

I only needed to read the headline to know @sulliview.bsky.social was dead on. When she called the coverage of Trump “stenography” I said to myself “yep.” And I applauded when she outlined 3 changes on how to respond to Trump.

Follow them please, journalists.

When politicians claim that private providers are more efficient than public, they are outright lying. A private company's goal is profit, rather than service delivery, which results in poorer services to extract more money. It's quite simple.

There's no rule of journalism that says you have to show a president telling lie after lie – uncorrected – many times a day. That's a decision that corporate media are making for purposes other than delivering the truth to the public.

Conservatives like Smith here LOVE charities and faith groups because it allows the rich to pick and choose who gets their help and who does not (ask LGBTQ+ people about the Salvation Army sometime!)

Philanthropy is *no substitute* for stable, longterm government funding and support. She knows it.
Smith finally said it out loud...

She doesn't believe that government should be providing any services to Albertans, she believes that private companies should be used universally to provide services.

Faith groups should take care of the vulnerable.
