I don’t have a description because I have not decided whether or not to commit to being a Guster fan account.
Part of it as well has to be that Weiss really wants to be on air talent and now that she’s the boss she’s going to dedicate the resources to making that happen.
I’m actually kind of curious to what extent this is “let’s do regime propaganda“ and to what extent it’s (incorrectly) “real Americans don’t want woke, they want this, let’s run it and make money“
It's kind of unbelievable how hard Bari Weiss and CBS News have been pushing their interview with Erika Kirk. Just total propaganda.

like his complaint is literally that there are people who believe in things, believe those things are right, and believe in those things regardless of whether they are popular.

“Belief in the historical righteousness of the progressive project” seems like a regular thing for people with political beliefs to have? I don’t know.

It’s such a good example of people starting from their desired conclusion (“I speed when I am late to work”) and backfilling the ideological justification. Many such cases.
“You are being ableist by making me obey the speed limit” this is the greatest website in the world.

I hate the discourse around here. Like “we can’t nominate a black woman because OTHER PEOPLE TOTALLY NOT ME BUT OTHER PEOPLE are going to be racist or sexist against her” is just kind of pundit-brained, racist conclusions but with exculpatory extra steps refusal to just have your own opinion.

So crazy that this administration could be curing cancer but they said no thank you.
A tiny trial in New York has shown that personalized mRNA vaccines can provoke massive, lasting immune responses against pancreatic cancer, even as sweeping federal cuts now threaten the fragile labs required to produce them.

but democrats have, instead, picked fights around *orderly process*. they have highlighted the chaos of draconian immigration enforcement, the chaos of mass deportations, and the chaos and disruption it has imposed on communities.

Going on the record that I don’t believe these to be the Epstein files and that there are still more even worse Epstein files to be released.
🚨 BREAKING: Oversight Dems received 95,000 new photos from Jeffrey Epstein's estate. These disturbing images raise even more questions about Epstein and his relationships with some of the most powerful men in the world.

Time to end this White House cover-up. Release the files!

Extremely funny that they banned “pregnant person” but also “female” and “woman” like that they can’t even remember the culture war on their own terms.
According to a new court filing, the Trump administration has a six-page list of banned words that Head Start locations are forbidden from using when describing their programs.
Among the censored words: "disability," "race," "women," "trauma," "Gulf of Mexico." Short thread with the full list. 🧵

are you allowed to do it on a copy of the constitution or does that create some kind of discursive loop where you are swearing to uphold the same thing you are swearing by?
omg. Kat Abughazaleh just posted that if she's elected, she'll swear in on a copy of Octavia Butler's Parable of the Sower.

If you were elected to public office (never mind whether you'd ever actually run), what book would you swear in on?

The fact that we have super wealthy and extremely stupid people trying to set themselves up as new nobles has made historical nobility, which I only know from books, far more real to me. These people were not smart, they did not rule well, and rigid hierarchies of domination are very bad.
