their relationship is one of the major points of the show. they can’t directly say “the show ends like this” bc that’s a blatant spoiler, but they’ve always made it very clear in interviews/merch/etc that stolitz is the heart of the show. you can trust that they will stay together and enjoy the ride

i love that millie grew to realize that she can be strong and capable while also having a trusted support system and that she doesn’t need to do things all on her own to prove herself. finding out that context of her past adds so much to all her interactions in the show

I'll say it: I think its rly annoying and frankly amateurish that writers are constantly told their villains must be understandable or have sympathetic motivation to be interesting or realistic when all our big villains irl are in fact rich, stupid, selfish, trickster dillweeds and always have been
