The Pixel art CRT thing always makes me feel like I'm being gaslit.
It's definitely a phenomenon, the techniques described are accurately assessed, BUT, I played many a pixel game on many a CRT growing up, and they NEVER looked as smooth an idealized as the examples always given in these things.
