I’ve updated my racism in cartoon and comics thread with a small dissertation on “ Mickey Mouse and An Education for Thursday” since some of y’all asked me about it. Fair warning, though the racism in this is through the freaking roof and that’s not an understatement.

“Mickey’s Man Friday” in and of itself is a loose adaptation of Robinson Crusoe.
“Mickey Mouse Meets Robinson Crusoe” is an expanded newspaper comics adaptation that ran for a full year (1938-39)
