With the importance of comedy albums back in the 70s and 80s, Carlin, Cosby, and Pryor penetrated into culture more, I think one could argue. Plus, appearance on TV would be major fodder for water cooler talk before Must See TV

Excellent. As an instructional designer, I love when game designers make choices to support people in learning their systems.

On bail policy, Massachusetts must catch up  - CommonWealth Beacon

An Oregon pilot program giving cash to homeless youths sees a staggering reduction in homelessness. The program gave participants $1,000 cash payments each month for two years, and at the end of the project's first phase, 91% of participants reported being in stable housing.

"I don't know" is one of the most powerful intellectual positions imaginable.

Where you plant your "I don't know" flag signals your research question, methodology, and even what *counts* as evidence.

Current commercial manifestations of GenAI make it so you cannot even see the spot on the ground.
My biggest GenAI-related intellectual fear is about the future of “I don’t know”
Giving medical advice, sometimes ChatGPT is right, and sometimes it is quite wrong, but it is hard to tell the difference:

"Rather, Wachter identified something more frightening: ChatGPT’s dangerous answers don’t sound risky to a non-doctor. The chatbot always sounds confident and authoritative."

Interesting piece from Jessica Winter. I think there are slivers of relevance and meaning in what Galloway, Emmanuel, etc. have to say, especially vis-a-vis an aspirational vision of masculinity. I find their visions pretty myopic.

Not so much that they never fixed it, just that it's not designed for adults, which makes it super enjoyable to watch adults attempt it.
I love that the Boston cop slide never got fixed and now people just willingly go down it in tribute. It’s basically a national landmark at this point
