I also make a bunch of bespoke (for lack of a better term) neomoji. Haven't quite gotten around to releasing a full set yet but I have contributed to neogob and neobot.
I used the messages feature on Bluesky for the first time. Complete amateur hour. The UX on Firefox for Android is so bad that it cuts off the most recent posts whenever I open the keyboard to respond.

How can every website put together by high schoolers have better testing than this dumpster?

Astarte + defang power + 5 survarots with defang = 105% chance for enemies to spawn defanged. That seems to work correctly in that it prevents non-bosses from attacking.

Unfortunately, when Astarte mind controls an enemy, they seem to stay defanged.

The Arknights: Endfield launch bug in PayPal is disastrous. PayPal accounts were being bound to the wrong game accounts so you were getting charged for someone else's purchases and someone else was getting charged for yours.

Refunds have been issued and players get to keep everything but yowza.

it’s so cool that the only use case for ai is to distort everyones perception of reality. this needs to be heavily regulated immediately, especially when a government can do this

I don't know much about the #Castlevania lore and have never played any game from the franchise. The #VampireSurvivors collab was an opportunity to sell me on it.

My biggest takeaway so far is that it has good midbosses but disappointing, anticlimactic endboss fights. Is that accurate?

When you use AI slop machines, this is what you are supporting. They use it to imagine a world where their genocide is successful and they use it as a weapon in their genocide.
Dr Assal Rad—

"This is genocide profiteering. There are still thousands of Palestinians buried under rubble and the architects of their slaughter are planning to build a resort on top of their bodies.

"Gaza is truly the graveyard of humanity."

Marcel Bucher deserves what happened to him. He's a complete dumbass that outsourced his brain to AI. Then he got curious about what would happen if he deleted everything without making backups first. Now he's shocked that he lost stuff.

I hope the university fires him. He's unqualified to teach.
Wave a magnet over iron shavings and they will move. Is the pattern they form permanent for all time? No.

Saving items on computers is closer to moving iron shavings than putting pen to paper. You're trusting magnetic forces. Whether wedding photos or DNA, you need a plan to keep the data around.
When two years of academic work vanished with a single click
After turning off ChatGPT’s ‘data consent’ option, Marcel Bucher lost the work behind grant applications, teaching materials and publication drafts. Here’s what happened next.

I actually liked the scene in the Chancellor's office at the end of the episode. I have seen a television show before so I didn't need it spelled out but it's still good to have the main characters turn to camera and explain that Star Fleet Academy is not the War College.

Wait, so they have basketball in the gym at the academy yet they still choose to have students practice murder for sport instead?

it's never the crazy weird conspiracy theory weapons. they are poisoning you with toxins they are well-documented to have. they are beating you with ordinary sticks and shooting you with ordinary guns

the only conspiracy is how they gained legal immunity to do this
My group was able to recover a spent canister from a green smoke grenade in Minneapolis. We now confirm with physical evidence that it was a green signaling grenade.

Please don't spread rumors about hexachloroethane or nerve agents.

Enterprise used Ad astra per aspera for the Starfleet Command mission patch before there was a UFP.

They probably grabbed it from NASA who used it to commemorate Apollo 1. Or from the state motto of Kansas who has used it since 1859.

You won't find a bigger hater of the prime directive than me but it just doesn't make sense for Doctor Crusher to be in Star Fleet given how openly she dismisses it.

She doesn't just advocate against it, she disobeys direct orders about it. She shouldn't be allowed on away missions.

Ugh, Charlie refusing to take no for an answer from Chloe in West Wing is so uncomfortable. Chloe should have put out a restraining order against him long before S4E20. Everyone is framing it as cute flirting because he's determined and she still has feelings for him but that just makes it worse.

heads up MANYVIDS BUYERS there is an impending forced mass exodus of NSFW creators as the CEO, who has profited off sex workers for years by taking 40% of their income, has decided that sex work shouldn’t exist. If this is your main site, it’s time to look for alternatives. 😕

For the record, it's not a legal definition.

Milk naturally settles with the less dense fat at the top and skim milk at the bottom. Whole milk is both parts of the milk in their naturally occurring quantities (3.5% to 5% fat). If you remove half of that, you get 2% milk. All of it to get skim.

1/2
"He then went on to clarify how to spell “whole milk.” “It’s actually a legal definition—‘whole milk.’ And it’s whole with a w, for those of you that have a problem.”"

I'm watching LGIO's playthrough of A Way Out with my mom. Before asking to take a break for the night to watch more Star Trek, she asked me if Josh and Anthony were a couple.

The Newsom thing is because they think the pendulum effect will give the election to literally any Dem, which may well be true, so they want to make sure the nominee is as far-Right and ineffective as possible.
