People don’t understand that stripping the guardrails of regulation and oversight doesn’t just apply to like better business bureau type shit but also like on a practical level when I get into an elevator I expect that it has passed a safety inspection & that type of security will be gone soon

I was voicing this sentiment to my girlfriend the other day. I am not self made. Several people helped me out of homelessness. Self made is a lie. Humans need one another. It is not weakness, it is life.
Just a gentle reminder that everything we're thankful for is due to the grace and help of others and, for many of us, a heaping dose of unearned privilege. None of us has ever truly done anything on our own.
