the reactions to this skeet were certainly of a narrow type
Submitted my youngest VAERS report today. 20 yo F nursing student developed chest pain/tachycardia day after her 2nd Pfizer shot. A year & multiple doctor visits later, she’s still sick. She’d never heard of VAERS until seeing me today - previous doctors (3 + multiple ER visits) never mentioned it.

crypto not only causes zero environmental harm
but proof-of-work mining is arguably the prime catalyst for environmental salvation
it smooths energy markets, eventually price-invalidates non-renewable energy, and drives energy production innovation at a, level below ideological

Genuine question from a bowl of soup: what about the environment? Isn't it awful for the environment?

The cypherpunks who started the bitcoin movement were interested in freedom not wealth. The media doesn’t cover this reality. I have more in common with Chad than he understands …
I have the same issues with crypto people that I have with ALL wealth-obsessed individuals.
VC's, traders, PE guys, MLM scammers, televangelists. I don't fucking like you. Your values are wack and so are you.

Just got done shipping my Fuck Sotheby’s physical painting to my collector in Italy! A first for me!
And yes, crypto made this possible bc of international payments.
So for anyone who doesn’t believe crypto has any inherent good qualities, well, you’re simply uneducated.

My god the plot thickens
Vulnerably: my affiliation with crypto was used as a pretense to ostracize me from several communities I was loosely involved in, and I have a lot of pain connected to the label of “crypto people”. I did my best to make it clear I wasn’t grifting. People didn’t care.

Left unchecked it will turn bluesky into the mirror image of twitter; just another shallow ideological club for people to verbally abuse one another for catharsis.
the intensity of their hate/dislike for people not like themselves is worryingly strong at times

Here's a secret to the crypto discourse a lot of anti-crypto folks miss:
The cool people who use crypto will laugh *with you* at stuff like "all my apes gone." You can unlock a bigger crowd to mock the bad aspects of crypto if you don't auto-hate people for liking crypto. Even if you don't use it.
