Pufflings can get disoriented when venturing out, flying into the night. Vestmannaeyjar kids search the streets, scoop up pufflings, and release them to the ocean. Town kids have rescued pufflings for generations, helping dazed and confused birds thrive.

You can hike to the bird observatory. A two minute walk from the parking area.

No drone involved. The shot was with a Canon EOS Rebel T3i with a Canon 18-55mm lens.

Photos taken from a bird observatory on a hillside just outside Vestmannaeyjabær in Iceland. Over 1.5 million puffins live there in the summer (spending winters at sea). Amazing place, amazing birds.
