Music streaming subscriptions haven't even been the norm for that long. Maybe 10 years or less. So it's always baffling to me that people talk about putting MP3 files on your phone like it's an ancient arcane technology.

This is my third year doing an Anti-Spotify Wrapped on my Facebook. I started doing it because at one point I mostly just used Spotify for podcasts and shuffle in the car so Wrapped wasn't actually representative of what I listened to. In 2025 I don't think I used Spotify at all.

The fact that "hypnosis" has become one of the concepts regularly banned on adult websites makes me feel fully insane. We are truly living in the nightmare return of every Christian conservative moral panic we ever laughed at.

I'm willing to do things other than my dream jobs, but the more I try to expand my scope and compromise, the more it feels like there's just nothing there.

We had to put up with a decade of moral panic about safe space SJW college students and unqualified diversity hires ruining academia. But now if a conservative student gets a bad grade on an abysmal child-like paper then it's an automatic civil rights infringement and the teacher is instantly fired
