I reviewed my 2024 predictions at bsky.app/profile/nlit.... 2025 (leaking into 2026) predictions together with associated confidence
End of the year means time to self evaluate my predictions for 2024 originally made over at the other place, but mow found at bsky.app/profile/nlit...
Moving my pinned post/thread from the other place.

g on from 2023 predictions. Some 2024 predictions. I'm going to try to follow this suggestion and assign percentages rather than H/M/L x.com/sam_atis/sta... again a 🧵a bit more rationale than last year.

No idea why Carse is bowling this morning. Archer (for 2-3 overs) or Tongue is surely a better option. #TheAshes

Proper fight this from Stokes and Archer. #TheAshes

*sigh* Starc has more runs this series than Crawley, Pope, Duckett and Stokes and the same number as Brook. #theAshes

Frustrating to hear the TNT commentators talking about England's Bowlers (plural) lack of consistency when Archer is 4 overs for 4 runs. Carse all over the place. #theAshes

Should come and watch League One.
Football would be more entertaining if it had more plays with 3 turnovers on the same play.

I didn't have the head of the IEA reversing Brexit on my bingo card - but here he is on Twitter suggesting all post-1997 legislation should be repealed. Also on his list
* Equal Marriage and Civil Partnerships
* The various Terrorism acts
* The sex offenders register

Because
a) there aren't votes in it that he needs
b) no-one least of all the 'rejoiners' have advanced a credible policy on how to sell the requirements to the UK population
c) The EU would be mad to admit a state that could easily change its mind again 5 minutes later.
