For a lower-end operation where pristine quality isn't a requirement, you can just grab the main output of the PA sound board and add a crowd mic or two on a separate (small) mixer

It depends! In an ideal scenario, you'd split all the signals going into the live sound board and send it to an entirely separate recording sound board (bonus points if you iso-record each signal for optimizations in post production). And yes, crowd + ambient mics round out the mix

but the real answer is that fascists hate expertise. yeah, they're ableist and eugenicist for sure, but they hate people who know things, who are experts, and who are confident and don't back down, and aren't easily bought.

If mass shooters was reflective of the general population this means about 1% of the perpetrators would be trans - however, considering less than 0.1% of perpetrators are trans this means trans individuals are significantly less likely to be mass shooters than other groups…who can they be?
