We are SO EXCITED to finally show you Xcavator 2025! This is an unreleased (and unannounced!) NES game from 1991 that we recovered from its source code. The rights to it were 100% donated to us, and it's being published as a fundraiser cartridge to support our work!
We're partnering with @gamehistoryorg.bsky.social + @megacatstudios.bsky.social to release Xcavator 2025, a never before seen NES game from the legendary Chris Oberth.

100% of profits go to @gamehistoryorg.bsky.social!

New: A CBP agent in Charlotte wore Meta Ray Bans to an immigration raid and used it to record, based on photos shared with 404 Media. We've seen them wearing these glasses before but this is the first specific evidence we have of them recording

Local hobby stores, regardless of the hobby, have two kinds of owner:

1: Older person who doesn't want to be there and honestly doesn't want you there, either

2: Older person who loves their special interest and desperately wants to talk to you about it.
it's always a good laugh when you try to support a local business instead of just buying something on the computer and the small business owner is like "that's out of stock and also fuck you"

If you don't have direct, physical ownership of your media, whether that be access to the original, rips, or DRM-free files ON YOUR OWN HARD DRIVES you do not have ownership of that media. Even digital services we "trust" such as Steam can alter the files without your permission/knowledge.
Our modern subscription hellhole is aggressively anti-ownership and the kids know it

At some point someone involved in a American sport-- a player, a coach, an assistant, maybe even as far down as an equipment manager-- will be murdered by a gambler who's convinced that the game was "fixed".

Will that convince the leagues to disavow sports books? Because I'm pretty sure it won't.
Dave Portnoy calling for murder of Raiders coach sparks backlash
"I want Pete Carroll murdered," Portnoy said in a rant about the NFL game between the Las Vegas Raiders and the Denver Broncos.

Meanwhile the "robot"; failing about as it powers down, destroys the entire environment about itself, casually bursting a water bottle like a ripe melon as it's arms come to rest.

Imagine the criminal neglect necessary to allow this device near children.
can't stop watching this clip of a tesla Optimus teleoperator taking his headset off before properly logging out the robot

Catching up on Dynamite

I don't know what's ever going to fix Hook but the heel persona is markedly better in that he actually has *a* persona. Still needs experience and I cannot understand why he's not on excursion getting as many dates as possible in Japan or Mexico.

Very clear their is a massive effort to mainstream ai videos of people being anti ice by resist accounts and other networks of accounts today. Almost like they are trying to flood the zone so people don’t believe real videos of violence as they start to come out.

I'm not saying this as a cop-out to Sega's AI announcements because... man, fuck modern Sega, but I think older Japanese game developers probably have a difficult time coming to grips with the idea that the newest tech "innovations" aren't just unpopular, but actually a detriment to their games.
