@julietcampbellmp.bsky.social I implore you to stand up for your sick and disabled constituents, many of whom are already struggling to get by and vote against the proposed Universal Credit cuts! It is the only right and moral thing to do!

We need to make the Labour Government more scared of losing votes and seats to the Green Party than to Reform.

I'm in this week's @bigissue.com talking about how we can make this happen.

Not all disabled people have family or friends who can take care of them.

Charities are woefully ill equipped to provide the level of care many of us need.

Being abandoned for being sick is common, and it’s not our fault.

Disability is not & has never been a moral failing.

Self-imposed fiscal rules are holding us back from making the investment we need to improve public services and build a stronger economy. It's good to see so many MP's recognise this - hopefully the chancellor will too!

Well done, the British state did everything it could to avoid justice. The DWP kills people. No Justice No Peace.
Breaking news that Britain's greatest mum - aka Joy Dove – has finally won her battle for #Justice4Jodey.
The Coroner concluded that Jodey's suicide was in the context of her deteriorating mental state precipitated by the withdrawal of state benefits.
Exactly as Joy has always said.

Keir Starmer can find billions for weapons factories, drones and a submarine but not for disability benefits or the two child limit. One more time for those at the back: Poverty Is A Political Choice.

I am proud to be a (non-celebrity!) signatory to the #TakingThePip letter sent to Starmer and the government. We “demand that the government withdraw its inhumane and catastrophic plans to cut disability benefits.” This is nothing less than “cruelty by policy.” tinyurl.com/3cmv43a9

You want to cut PIP because “too many people qualify.”
Ever wonder why?
Maybe more people are disabled because more people are burned out, injured by austerity, stuck on waiting lists or living in systems that break us.
The answer isn’t less support. It’s more care. #TakingThePIP

People talk about “benefits culture” like it’s some scam.
You know what the real scandal is?
That you have to fight, cry, collapse and prove you’re disabled again and again just to survive.
Labour were supposed to be better, not worse.

Deep breath, lads.

In response to the proposed government disability cuts, I wrote a piece about my life before The Daily Tism (it includes a PIP assessment, a mental health crisis and iced Madeira cake). We’ll fight this with everything we’ve got.

I’m an autistic writer who is finally working. Without PIP, I wouldn’t have had a chance
How do you explain a PIP assessment to somebody who’s never had one?
