Does Mike Norvell realize he’s getting left on the tarmac if they lose this game?
You escaped this place before it got worse.

Like…i’m stunned that’s become the normal position
i don’t know why i’m surprised by this but….
Can report back from the Charlotte No Kings that "free Palestine" is now, if not the normie lib position, then at least fully accepted among the normie libs. Lots of signs and flags scattered about, no apparent drama at all.
not the worst idea…. or….. you could just come down to Cha…nvm
You joyless assholes need to do something else other than yuck everyone else’s yum
Pro sports aren’t worth wasting your time on.
We all need to pay attention to the needs of society.
We can’t be frivolous about it anymore.
There are people who work behind the scenes to steal the country while everyone is paying attention to sports.

What are those albums?

Yes. About 130 million U.S. adults (54% of those aged 16–74) read below a sixth-grade level, according to modeled estimates.

I think this is a far more nuanced topic than many want to make it.
Ever wonder why so few athletes in North America have spoken about Israel's genocide in Gaza?

We did too... so we asked some to find out.

Answers include "fear of losing sponsorships," "the McCarthyist response from government,” and “Zionists gaslighting and doxxing people."
Most athletes have chosen to ‘shut up and dribble’ over Gaza | Nathan Kalman-Lamb and Derek Silva
Why have so few athletes spoken about Gaza? Fear of backlash, lost sponsors and being branded antisemitic all help explain the silence

Much more of a phase than an actual genre.
Aight, so I spent the morning on That Other App arguing abt this, and since there are more ppl over here who's musical opinions I respect imma ask the question and see where we land:

IS NEO-SOUL A MUSICAL GENRE?

A fun thing is that UNC makes all its records requests public immediately.

You can see that @themhartman.bsky.social last month was chasing the Lombardi-Saudi story @pablo.show is teasing.

And now everyone is frantically asking for copies of the documents he got. (Me as well.)
Talking about an All-Star game that’s never coming huh?
CHICAGO…. WE’RE BACK 📍

The 2026 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game is returning to the Windy City 🌟
Comparing the No Kings movement to the Civil Rights movement should be the sign for us to nuke the internet and start over never.

But since it won't be, how about just not entertaining it?

We 100% know how difficult it is to get to and then remain in the NBA. What a dumb fucking thing to say.
I love it. Media loves to criticize players and coaches without realizing how hard it is to play this game day in and day out. Why not have them come and play to see what it's like. Then maybe when they want to criticize a player or coach they'll think twice about it.
Also, for every Russell Westbrook, we have a Malcolm Brogdon.

Something to think about.
We really undersell how tight-knit the pro-athlete community is and how hard it is to give that life up, especially if you've done it for over half your life. Especially when you've done it at the level Russ has.

Probably doesn't have much to do with being home with their families at all.
These dudes do not want to be home with their families. Now why would he be taking a minimum deal? He has plenty of money.
NEWS: Russell Westbrook has agreed to sign a minimum deal with the Sacramento Kings, a source confirmed to The Athletic.

The 9x All-Star was an unrestricted free agent before the signing, having last played with the Denver Nuggets.

Re: LRP .. Folks, EYE miss going to NBA games on a regular basis to cover them.

I couldn't imagine being IN IT. And you want me to give that up easily?

i started talking to athletes about this while i was still in college. when your identity is wrapped up in the sport you play, the end is destabilizing no matter what, but especially when you’re attempting to avoid the end at all costs.
I feel like part of it is players not knowing to do with themselves after a sport has been their entire life focus since childhood. And you are still relatively young after you retire by no. Athlete standards.
if journalism didn’t matter, people wouldn’t go through painstaking lengths to neuter it
They're trying to prevent the student newspaper from printing news, period. Not just a particular story.

"The Media School directed us to print no news in the paper... nothing but information about homecoming — no other news at all, and particularly no traditional front page news coverage."
Indiana University has fired the staff director of the student newspaper, after disputes in which university leadership tried to pressure him to prevent students from publishing news.
Yeah, there probably needs to be some statistical or anecdotal context to this.

But this is ABSOLUTELY a thing.
We need to talk about how social media algorithms push moms down a slippery slope of distrust.

From "Are my kids getting enough support in school?" To "Maybe I should homeschool." To "Maybe modern medicine is bad."

I've seen this first-hand in research I'm doing on parenting apps. 1/🧵
This.......doesn't land with me the way it might with others....

Sorry.
"What do you have to say about the capitulation that you participated in?"
