The right sets the terms of our political discourse in so many ways, one of which is the idea that there isn't enough "debate" and "free speech" on campus.
We need to push back on this. The truth is (speaking for myself as a history prof), I don't really emphasize debate much in my classes/

Today is the 23rd Anniversary on the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. I wrote this 13 years ago, as a reflection for a church service during which family members of the 9/11 victims shared a similar message. I post it again this year.

I know facts are slippery things, but Russia was booted out of the G8 FOR INVADING Crimea. And Trudeau wasn't PM at that time. Not sure what this particular example of his idiocy bothers me so much.
