The woman, Bruna Ferreira, has an 11-year-old son with Michael Leavitt, Karoline Leavitt's brother.
Ferreira migrated with her family to the United States from Brazil as a child and is currently in custody at an ICE facility in southern Louisiana.

This evening--my one moment of the day I only have the insane irish setter puppy demands among the great outdoors--on my walk I saw our usual aggressive and seething storm birds (curlews) in their egg/chicks proximity, and only one rose from a nest. The other was gone.
