I'm pretty sure I need to start a new batch of sauerkraut, w/ caraway. I've given away quite a lot but hey! This is passing for winter, even here. If I've put up apples, then putting up sauerkraut is only logical. Also? I'm making a peach pie, using peaches from my tree that I put up in summer.

The apple harvesting season is over in upstate New York, but post harvest orchard maintenance is still going on. Workers are removing the reflective runners that are used to improve fruit quality by reflecting sunlight back into the lower and inner parts of the tree. #WeFeedYou
