The Belgium PM is too stupid/corrupt to know that an objective of the "peace deal" is to derail efforts to use Russian frozen assets.

We must protect russian money better than Ukrainian kids. This is the law and will encourage tyrants to always follow it..
Do not finance the loan with the frozen Euroclear assets! It's not legal. Our EU government should set the example by abiding by its own and the international laws, otherwise it cannot expect from its citizens to do the same. Belgium is right and correct to resist these plans.

Just sent out this free piece. Trump's 28 point plan put one thing in stark relief--and that was how much better the Biden Administration was for Ukraine than Trump's. There is no comparison. Biden was Ukraine's friend and Trump is not (he is Russia's). open.substack.com/pub/phillips...

We've been here before - some believing we are just days away from ending the fighting

Well at best it will be a pause before restarting and each time Russia gets worse.
But let's see what happens..

Anybody who bought a house in the U.S. knows that their real estate agent is ONLY motivated by the 3% commission. So is the seller's agent. Neither cares how good or bad the deal is -- only that there is a deal.

This is the entirety of US foreign policy led by Trump, Witkoff and Kushner.

Trump is the most openly corrupt president in American history, and that makes it extra difficult to interpret what's happening when he makes seemingly unexplainable decisions. It's a big problem if the European press won't discuss this issue.
Wow. BBC journalists are now not even allowed to report the censored line from my Reith Lecture, that Trump is “the most openly corrupt president in American history.”

You can hear how carefully they’re forced to tiptoe around it. So chilling...
