Watched Transformers last night. Were Michael Bay movies always this bad? The music, color saturation, overuse of special effects, the baaad dialogue.
I thought they were fun-cheesy, but this was just lame & lousy.

It also creeped me out how much he made Megan Fox look like Téa Leoni in Bad Boys.

I’m a real estate agent & have no fear of AI. Many in my industry do, but my clients come to me for guidance, support, expertise, & kindness that AI could not give.
Ppl are terrified when they buy & sell houses. I don’t even advertise. I take care of my ppl & have more work than I cld ever need.
There is a direct correlation between how fake your job is and how much value you see in AI
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?

The fact doomers have gone from "America is over" to "Dems won't hold anyone responsible when this is over" can actually be read as an optimistic signal imo.

Mike seems absolutely miserable & he’s terrible at this job. It’s ok to admit you suck at this and quit.
Speaker Mike Johnson is "crushed by his workload."

Bitch, please! You've been on a self-conferred vacation the past few months.

We’d like to end today with a quote from Eleanor Roosevelt:

We do not have to become heroes overnight. Just a step at a time, meeting each thing that comes up, seeing it as not as dreadful as it appears, discovering that we have the strength to stare it down.

Just keep going. Goodnight, heroes.

The sign I designed on Canva arrived yesterday. I’m impressed with how pretty it turned out.
One huge flaw: I thought it was metal, having chosen the metal sign category in the designing process, or so I thought 🫤
So, not weatherproof. Wondering if I should laminate it or something?? Argh.

Gearing up for another day of collecting signatures for Idaho’s Reproductive Freedom.

It’s been a slow signature week and I’m hopeful today will make up for it.

If you haven’t signed the initiative yet, I have tons of time to come to you this afternoon between events in CdA. #idpol backtoidaho.com

Great thread. I learned some things.
as somebody who writes and studies broadband access I'm constantly running into "free market" think tank nonprofits like this one who are usually covertly funded by big telecom monopolies to push misleading editorials in local papers about how community-owned broadband is the devil

If you want billionaires to own your public lands, turning them over to the state of Idaho is the way to go. They’ll sell them off for profit.
