I named my fists Chekhov and Gun because you know they're coming but you don't know when
i named my fists Rodgers and Hammerstein cuz theyre always in my own little corner

Fun fact - it's because adult animation isn't actually aimed at adults but at older teens who want to seem cool by watching adult content.
Can animated works aimed at adults please stop doing this silly, adolescent thing where they lard the dialogue with absurd supra-Scorcese levels of pointless swearing the modal longshoreman would find cringy in a desperate attempt to telegraph “this isn’t a kids cartoon!”

Besides the obvious, I think the thing that depresses me the most about the Banana Fish AI situation, is how there are two perfectly fine simuldubs airing on Prime right now (Sanda and A Star Brighter Than the Sun) that have gotten discussed less than that stupid clip and now likely never will

The thing about dialog in The Mighty Nein is it's fairly true-to-the-livestream. The Vox Machina animated series actually toned it down a bit.

The thing about dialog in The Mighty Nein is it's fairly true-to-the-livestream. The Vox Machina animated series actually toned it down a bit.
