This once busy place was established in 1852 but abandoned following the terrible droughts of the 1860s.
The hotel closed in 1881.
With many old stone buildings, it's a fascinating place to explore with an interesting history.

On the walk this morning, I captured the delight of this #bottlebrush in bloom. This is an unknown #Callistemon cultivar (there are many).
My personal connection to these beautiful shrubs goes back to childhood on the farm in South Australia - these were the blooms of #Christmas for me.

The Peregrine Falcon has the ability to see in low-light conditions and can hunt at night. Young falcons may not have fully developed vision. Clearly Girri can't see what's going on when Diamond flies back in with a snack and is initially confused—Girri is in the dark. #OrangeNSW

It’s hard to fathom how a woman, living in her car, can park at a police station, go into a police station, and then be found dead and decomposing in her car at a police station days later. Not one person noticed and checked. Horrid.
