My great great grandparents were part of settling a town where Indigenous people were forced off their land. The town is 150 years old, the fish traps in the river 1,000s of years older.

They did what their culture told them was right, but it wasn’t right.

I apologise for my family too.

We applaud the formal #Apology in the Victorian Parliament today to the First Peoples of the lands and waters known as VIC.
Along with Treaty, it will make a difference to resetting the relationship between the VIC Gov and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
