What we don't account for as the public is the fact that these improvements follow development, not public will or safety.
Just like East Nashville and now North Nashville, the secret third thing they're waiting on is displacement by gentrification.
Requests a case study of when Dickerson Pike intersection improvements design started, how much has been spent to date, when design is expected to be complete, etc.

NDOT says they can provide some additional information in future meetings.
In the meantime we're seeing a different "Senior Judge" each week til Todd moves over and this week it's Robert E. Lee Davies. 😒😐
A couple of important things here,
1. this appointment is seen as a head start on running for this Criminal Court seat.
2. Whoever Metro Council appoints to his open General Sessions seat is getting similar exposure.
Both seats will be filled in the next general election, November 2026.

Honestly I think you can hear the race at the fairgrounds from there, they had late races last night. Nashville has weird acoustics.
Corporate landlords will collaborate with federal forces to raid, displace and disappear people from properties they've blighted just to be able to empty them out, avoid repairs and either sell or demolish them.

I really do think Ezra Klein needs to be held to account for why he gets to keep his columnist job, as a white man, for saying CK was "practicing politics the right way" while Karen Attiah, a Black woman, loses her columnist job for quoting what CK said about Black women.

Someone, plz ask him.

The free speech activist who built a list of professors he worked to get fired for their speech must be celebrated for his support of free speech, and anyone who quotes his speech accurately in context will be fired and/or face state punishment by the champions of free speech, do I have that right?

None of the suffering we're experiencing as a planet rihht now was necessary. We're either too comfortable to care or too ground down trying to survive (or some combination of both) to say ENOUGH.

The stupidity and scale of our squander is INFURIATING.
