Friends, it's time. After five years, I'm moving on from covering #MetroCouncilNash.

The July 15 meeting will be the last one I cover. It'll also probably be the last one I watch for some time.

I'll have more to say about this decision later, but for now, I want to thank some folks.

Once you get a the way in the back, you’re met with a basic bench and WeGo sign. No way to know when the bus is coming unless you’re a nerd like me with the transit app. No explanation of the cost or how tap to pay is available. I helped answer those ?s

the actual story here, which the media never talks about, is that police in this country have become a discrete right-wing political operation. the story isn't about cops leaving (they're lying about that), it's about the police trying to exert influence over elections.

Sometimes, CMs would do well to just let their colleagues speak and move on. When someone is withdrawing legislation you don’t like, you have already won!

Let them have their 3 minutes & get on with the business of the council. You’re wasting everyone’s time otherwise, & it makes you look silly.

Lemme guess: she said that you have to allow both viewpoints to be heard, so they have to allow an equal number of supporters and opponents to speak. (Or, if only one supporter was signed up, they’d have to bump someone from the opponents list and replace with the waitlist supporter)

Federal programs going away? Sounds like a good time to relieve costs on Nashvillians and provide free transportation using dollars we have locally!! At least just mail out Journey Passes to everybody making under 300% above the poverty line.

I’m old enough to remember when Hendricks accused Bristol of threatening him if he didn’t vote for the original deal.

So he can’t be intimidated, but, if the allegations contained in the complaint are true, he CAN be bought, I guess…
