Just realizing that the Rav4 Prime I got a year ago has a bunch of features (remote lock, remote start, charging status) that expire after a year and they charge $15/month to reinstate them. Absolutely ridiculous behavior from Toyota.

A little tidbit: @janeese4dc.bsky.social just told me that her campaign qualified for public financing in just four hours since launching. That required getting $40,000 in small donations from at least 1,000 D.C. residents. That's pretty fast.

Adolescent girls and young women are particularly vulnerable to HIV infection. We have made tremendous progress by addressing the many risk factors they face - especially gender barriers that have kept them from completing school and earning a living. So much of that has been lost now.

When I was in high school in the 80s, my friends and I chose to “dress weird” - the dominant preppy scene was expensive; MTV sparked our creativity. We cut up shirts, wore skirts with high tops and torn fishnets - way downstream of punk, but we had fun with it.
