Yesterday I attended the official opening of the West Ham Foundry, a new home to the West Ham Foundation’s work in our community.

It was wonderful to see this long awaited project open and already full of local people enjoying the space, , pitch and brand new cafe.

I met with Hospice UK in Parliament this morning to mark Hospice Care Week. As I said last week, our hospices do vital and irreplaceable work, and we need to support hospices like Severn Hospice and Hope House Children’s Hospice - both with resources and reform to make them sustainable.

Big thanks to Headteacher Neil Clapham and the amazing staff for the warm welcome – such a dedicated and passionate team. It was really uplifting to see how much thought and care goes into supporting every single student.
