600 people have been fired for not properly mourning Charlie Kirk. Countless others have lost employment or future prospects for believing Palestinians are human. And yet, where are the people who railed against cancel culture now? Was it only real when it impacted Kevin Spacey?

Remember kids, stop getting your news from social media. Get it from billionaire-controlled corporate media. It makes it easier for us to do our jobs.
Hillary Clinton blames TikTok and “totally made up” videos for young people’s views on Israel and Palestine.

She says social media influenced “not just the usual suspects” but also “young Jewish Americans who don’t know the history and don’t understand.”

One way proponents of generative AI experience the world differently is they haven’t clued into, or just don’t care about, the spiritual crisis of a world where already nobody can tell what’s real.

It’s anti-intellectual to not want to see AVATAR 3.

Millie Bobby Brown changing her name to Millie Bobby Bongiovi is pretty badass. She just replaced one embedded pop star name with another.

That movie HAMNET sounds like it’s about a website for pork.

They should bring back those oversized TV remotes that get struck by lightning and send you into the TV where you learn important lessons about life.

Criterion should put out Spielberg’s 1941 on 4K disc.

I think at this point Lacey Chabert should be considered a Christmas character like Rudolph, Frosty or the Grinch, so they would make little dolls and ornaments of her and have her on sweaters and pajamas and things.

I’m so strange that when I watch STRANGER THINGS it’s just THINGS.

I really find it odd how rarely people mention the pandemic anymore or talk about how different the post-pandemic world is. People talk about 9/11 as this big turning point, but it doesn’t compare.

So far, my record of not using it for anything remains unbroken.
one of the coolest things about ChatGPT is how you can actually just never use it. you can fill your whole entire life with simply not once using it. it's incredible.

Hopefully the next President of the United States will order funding and production of the long awaited DETENTION sequel DETENTION II SOCIETY.

I’m not sure why but it would be funnier if Trump had made a Presidential order for a new SHANGHAI NOON.
can we get a president that's a fan of GOOD Jackie Chan movies?

Trump can just order Hollywood to make RUSH HOUR 4? If he were serious about racially unifying the nation he should have made an executive decision to bring back rap-metal.

We may have the only movie podcast that’s argued the problem with new movies is they’re not political ENOUGH.

I visited Alcatraz like 20 years ago. You could rent these radios that gave a narrated tour for when you looked at the different jail cells and stuff. We didn’t rent one, so my brother just started making up his own narration and people followed around listening like it was true.

DETENTION (2011) is the best movie made in this century.
Kat and I want to watch something spooky. Jumpscare or psychological is good, just want something quality and good and scary. Doesn't need to be new. I like indie bullshit (It Follows) and so does Kat (Late Night With The Devil; Creep) but it can be high budget. Like I tell my doctor, gore optional!

John Hughes’ class analysis was often strange (defending the HOME ALONE mansion against burglars, the Xmas bonus trauma around a pool in CHRISTMAS VACATION) but at at least he had some. The working class doesn’t really exist in Hollywood movies at a casual level anymore.

This is a good point. Are we the rednecks at the Flesh Fair? They didn’t properly explain in movies and books that this would in fact be a Tech Bro Apocalypse.
I have loved so many stories about recognizing the humanity in genuinely sentient AI/robot characters. I am *furious* that I must live in a world where I’m firmly on the “Fuck the Clankers” side. It’s very far from tech bros’ worst crime, but it’s on the list!
Sometimes I have to double-take what I read because as I write about real robots w/real artificial intelligence that are actually people struggling against a society that views them as things instead, I read "the robots are people too" and go YEAH then remember what timeline I'm in and go "WAITAMIN"
