As a reminder, it's about this and staying out of jail.

Everything else is running cover for it.

Good morning.

Today is the 80th day that the U.S. President is running a backdoor bribery scheme in which any CEO or foreign oligarch can send him money secretly through his crypto coin scam in exchange for favors.

It's the biggest scandal in the history of the Presidency.
Make America Great again not going so well.

Meanwhile building billions of dollars of ICE concertation camps is the GOP and Republicans focus.

"Slightly more" isn't good news.

Things are going well over at Unit Healthcare... their chatbot and agents can't answer simple questions about their new PCP referral requirement.

Here is my chat from this morning to ask them to confirm.

Good news, I am "You are our most valuable member."

Excellent, thank you.

I wrote about this 10-years ago in the run up to #brexit

The British effectively invented concentration camps.

Current status of the GOP here in the land of the free: People who criticize the U.S. government can't represent the country; people who enjoyed an artistic performance should be prioritized for state punishment.

Except jailed. I'd like that please.

As always, he doesn't. It's just another soundbite for outrage and clicks, he doesn't have the spine and will never have the power to do anything... especially not the moral power.

Interesting read, but anything that doesn't actual state what leadership looks like beyond corruption + anti-moderate is not much use to us on the outside wondering if the Dem's are going to start leading.

Schumer and Jeffries don't have to go, but we need to agree that are not the leaders we need.

U.K. might lose a prime minister because a guy who worked for him knew another guy who hung out with Epstein. Meanwhile the U.S. opposition party is telling our President, who was Epstein's best friend, that his secret police should get better training so their public street murders look less messy.
February 9, 2026 at 4:07 PM
While the Epstein files quite rightly reach into every corner of life, including the Outdoor+ sports columns - someone by the moniker Paul Dodd seems to have taken it upon himself to become the public arbiter of Epstein - a super weird thing do do.

Paid by Howard Lutnick per chance ;-)

If you are like me, I had no clue what was going on at halftime, I just sat back and enjoyed it.

This is the thread for us.

We are left with most people worried about a few hundred dollars here and there while a few thousand people are shorting the government by tens of thousands and a few hundreds by millions...
February 8, 2026 at 4:22 PM
But again I get it. For the last 70 years the IRS has been portrayed by accounting firms, Republicans and the media as the evil arm of the government... And so we cant do anything to change that... Trust no one, fear making a mistake... Claim everything.
February 8, 2026 at 4:22 PM
It's really a case of removing the friction of tax handling and getting the IRS to actually focus tax avoidance rather being a world leading paper storage facility.
February 8, 2026 at 4:22 PM
Right but are you arguing 163 million of you? I don't, for the vast majority of tax payers in the USA don't need to

Sure people with shares and investments, and lots of people have tax avoidance schemes... But really surely for people like you the tax brackets and allowances should take care of it.

The fun thing is it's true in America. Other countries have trains, trams, streetcars functioning bus services that coordinate with the trains and so much more. In many European cities cars are a choice.

Once Amazon has crushed Kroeger et al we'll still need cars for many things

Cars suck

So yes there are some reasons why you'd have to submit, split child custody, house sales, inheritance, splitting joint returns with carryovers but for most Americans charitable deductions are less than the standard dedication...
February 8, 2026 at 6:10 AM
Don't banks and lenders also submit 1099s and other docs to the IRS?

Ffs Venmo has to.

I'm required to submit FINCEN statements for my UK pension, which the UK pension people tell they already send to the IRS.

Thanks for posting, I meant to post this morning when it showed up in the daily. Email.

I need to find some of the old news reports about Fred Trump. I rented an apartment near the van wyck expressway on the early 80's so so wanted to be the mob' but couldn't so went with racism.
