The race course itself was just a massive construction site, every time the TV coverage did a long distance pan to Dubai is was unfocussed because of the heat and pollution.

I have such a large investment in time and money in my music, I also have a private offline library of some 16,000 music magazines/books - I store everything on a NAS, backed up by a NAS, which is backed up to the cloud daily. I started out just running the server on an old Windows XP laptop in 2006

I run it on Windows because it's what I know. I'm just building a new server for this Dell Optiplex 7070 Ultra. It cost $110 from ebay with a Windows 11 pro license, will replace a Windows 10 PC from 2014. Runs headless, no keyboard, mouse or screen, I login remotely via my laptop.

FYI prompt action by the ambulance crew saved my life so I didn't really try much to get their price reduced.

My heart attack was $48k book price including ambulance, in the end I paid $11.5k and the only thing I couldn't get reduced was the ambulance $1k for a 5-mile ride.

Seriously, it's worth talking to an attorney about putting your home in a trust so the insurance co's can't get at it. Sound totally mad right?

Totally sucks. I had no insurance from age 58 to age 65 - I had a heart attack at 61. Negotiating prices after was a nightmare, if the medical group tries to force you into Medicaid, decline at all costs, never ever agree they will put a lien on your house for their negotiated prices.

Takes that long to go from upstate NY to Denver CO on Amtrak. That's straight of a movie as well, Planes, Trains and Automobiles.
