New Yorkers, if you elect Mamdani in a landslide there's a chance none of us ever has to hear from Cuomo ever again 🤞

In social movement studies, we talk about how marches and protests expand the threshold of acceptable risk so that people take more and bigger social risks IN PUBLIC, EN MASSE. This is extremely important for the bourgeois white folks holding signs and building social rapport.
Not a shitpost: #NoKings is feel-good performative activism for comfortable mostly upper and upper middle class white folks and that’s good, actually. Millions of people in the streets protesting a fascist regime is good. It is good for the normie baseline to be massive displays of public dissent.

Thank you to the organizers of today's wildly successful (and peaceful) "No Kings" rallies. You did an amazing job. And thanks to all the millions of people who showed up to give us faith. And a special shout out to the White House regime and the Speaker of the House for all the free publicity!

Telling moment: I was walking back from the rally, but a couple miles from it, carrying nothing but my gigantic American flag. An eight year old on his bike sees me with it and yells "No Kings!!" with absolute conviction.
My friends, they have lost the flag.

The thing that upsets establishment pols and special interest groups and mega donors about Mamdani is that he has chosen to…and is going to…win without them, without bending the knee to them. Worse for them…and best for NY and Dems generally, is it’s one of the reasons he’s going to win.

One of the scariest features of the regime is the surveillance piece! Palantir et al. are geared to cross reference everything for loyalty in order to oppress dissent. Yesterday I found that the regime has joined bluesky! it would be fun to troll them but DON'T!! BLOCK THEM ASAP!!

It's hilarious
I think it’s really funny when people who have everything, absolutely everything, the kind of wealth you and I could only dream of, are just miserable because people don’t like them quite enough

A pattern is developing where everyone who fights back against a Trump attack inevitably wins with their reputation much better than before, and everyone who caves to him looks like shit and has Trump coming back for more a month later.

Read that again. Trump-appointed Kennedy Center head Ric Grenell specifically set aside a block of 50 seats at the Kennedy Center so a group of Trumpers could heckle a Black woman performer.
