Some perspective: The S&P opened down -1.3% on Trump's Greenland saber-rattling. That's $750 billion of wealth destroyed -- roughly equal to estimates of the value of Greenland.

And so ~in dollar terms~ his shenanigans have already cost the US one Greenland, and we've got nothing to show for it.

Question in Copenhagen: why is Trump focussed on a Russian threat that doesn't exist (in Greenland) as opposed to one where it does (Ukraine)?

Clearly too fictional
In James Bond: Kill Chain (2017), Russia splits NATO and Five Eyes by turning an increasingly isolationist US against its old allies in Europe.

... Pure escapism, of course.

Maybe we all should line in a procession and kiss the stolen Nobel Peace medal, just like the underlings did to the mob boss’ ring.
Are you worried things can’t get dumber?

Don’t worry

Mark Rutte, today, at the European Forum in Brussels: "I was born in 1967 and I was raised with the idea that Nicolae Ceaușescu would forever rule Romania. And now Romania is in the EU and in NATO."

No dictator lasts forever; even the hardest iron can be bent by time.

What a stupid shitty question to ask the Nobel Prize Committee, nobody had asked it in 125 years.
The Norwegian Nobel Prize committee has been forced to make a statement, declaring that the prize cannot be transferred.
It's hard even to comprehend how stupid this has become

Because pervs and pedos could never afford 9 euros per month, right.

Why do people still use that platform, puzzles me. I gues the old saying “birds of a feather…” starts to show truth.

if you use software to lock down hardware repairs to make sure you are only able to sell replacement parts then it should be legal for a random dude to not only crack your protection but release and even profit from it without any legal consequence whatsoever

you made your bed now sleep in it bitch

“No one sets out to make a dud”
Brendan Fraser tells us that winning an Oscar doesn’t guarantee better acting roles.

“The fallacy is you have the pick of the litter. It’s not true, actually, because it depends on what’s being made... the good news is that good work is good work. No one sets out to make a dud.”

So, it IS possible to build a humanoid industrial robot, or is the person controlling it from VR able to spin their joints 360 degrees? Tesla should maybe try both 😂 and fail.

Anyway, amazing work by Boston Dynamics with their Atlas.

I hope that the attacks we’re facing from the US will push Europe closer together, not just politically, but socially as well.
Seeing people talk about “the Europeans” instead of just individual countries already feels significant. It’s a sign that a shared 🇪🇺 identity is finally taking root.

I really love how the characters in HBO’s “Task” are written. All have good traits and flaws, even the main antagonist is very relatable. No wonder it has 94% on RottenTomatoes. Mark Ruffalo is wonderful as ex-priest-now-FBI-with-issues

That’s a sound investment plan, pay more taxes and abandon health and safety so your country can attack smaller countries over oil. I bet it will yield a good ROI.
