Damn brother xD I knew Nvidia and Linux werent best friends but from that to say that the nvidia driver "taints" the kernel... xD

When I got my first computer, many decades ago, reformatting/reinstalling was a ritual, something I learned to do every 6 months (give or take) to undo all my weird experiments with the OS. And even today, 30 years later, doing this is comforting. Installing old Windows in VMs gives me peace.

The crash issue with Krita got fixed just by downloading and using the appimage.
Not ideal but its fixed at the very least, so I just removed the repository version and am going to use the appimage moving forward.
sudo apt remove krita
