Unironically I feel the best way you could do a remake (that being, from the ground up) is to lean more into a reinterpretation that bears modern sensibilities and *learns* from the original.

If I wanted the original again *that* badly, I would play the original again.

I acknowledge Nintendo has had a history of reissuing the same game again for newer hardware but at least with something like Link's Awakening DX, that at least had oh I don't know *fucking color*. This is a new low, even for them.

Something I *really* don't think Nintendo gets enough shit for lately is their current fixation on "Nintendo Switch 2 Editions". That Wonder DLC contains fuck all that couldn't have been possible on Switch 1, its exclusivity to the new console is entirely artificial.

In Namco Museum & Pac-Man World 2, Ms. Pac-Man had a unique bezel based on artwork by Yamashita. When the game was ported to Xbox 360, they redid it, but changed the character artwork for the worse. I decided to redo it more faithfully.

I really dislike the design on the right, less so for the outfit change and just more of the fact they *literally* Photoshopped Pac-Man and called it a day. Her facial proportions are too identical and it just screams “Pac-Man in a drag” quite literally compared to older iterations and redesigns.
