WTF is a MOOC?…
Just yesterday someone asked me how higher ed folks will talk about AI after the bubble bursts & their narrative of AI inevitability goes up in dust. I said it will be about the same as how those types of people talk now about MOOCs, as if it never happened & they were never boosters of failed tech.
Remember the Year of the MOOC from a decade ago? The one where tech bros predicted the end of all but 3-4 universities because who needs campuses when everyone can just take MOOCs and learn everything? Hits a little different now after pandemic pedagogy, huh? The tech hype cycle is a helluva drug.
And specially right now that Venezuela Trump are on clash... well, more like Trump. Despite of how Maduro is and has been ( and his crazy grip to power ) I am sure he knows that it would be foolish to pick a fight with Trump...
That last point is something very few learn through their careers and lives... 🤦

If you have a moment, please vote for my milkweed and pollinator calendar tea towel.

Just log in to Spoonflower and find this print on:
8. You are legislating for the people and for development. While continuing existing plans is in your interest, your goal is not to cling to power forever. Burn your political capital; you were elected to do things, not to accumulate power for its own sake, you are transitory as everything is.
7. You will inevitably upset power players. There’s a difference between being sovereign in your actions (making deals with them) and bending to their will just to avoid consequences 🧵
6. Stand for something. Simply being a conciliatory figure doesn’t work. And if you're going to stand for something, it should be for the people, not the elites 🧵
5. A small, efficient government and cutting unnecessary bureaucracy is beneficial, even if you’re on the left. You should want a modern, agile government, not a huge, slow moving beast 🧵
3. Choose the population over the power players. They are the ones who give you political power, not the other way around

4. If you choose the power actors, you tie yourself to their desires and plans. Don’t do that 🧵
This morning people were asking why certain individuals in a particular “Y“ country perform better politically than others with the same ideology in others.

Just my opinion:

1. You legislate for your population, not power players
2. You don’t legislate for power players, you negotiate with them 🧵
he is also extremely unwell… and they complained about Joe Biden?
So, you don’t vote for someone that knows what they are doing? you instead do vibe voting? like vibe coding? that explains some stuff…
RFK Jr: We need to stop trusting the experts... Trusting the experts is not a feature of science or democracy, it's a feature of religion and totalitarianism.
there are more than enough reasons to be grumpy… I was asking myself how was everything there because you are in the area and I was assuming it’s having a tax on you and everyone there :S

you know what I think but I can not curse this much on EST family time. Best waves to you Meg 🌊🌊!
Then there is the case where we trust politicians, administrators, influencers, pop made up reporters, CEOs, investors, economists and HR departments with decisions that contain a higher percentage of errors than an AI model… those really really really need to be replaced with and AI ASAP 😂
LLMs (AI nowadays) are useful for identifying patterns and structures, though they come with caveats, limitations, and require checking and supervision.

But what would you do if your professor's content had errors 10–20% of the time? awful is not? well! now replace the word “professor” for ”AI”.
Wow. Just wow.

"Students pay premium prices for information that AI now delivers instantly and for free. A business student can ask ChatGPT to explain supply chain optimization or generate market analysis in seconds. The traditional lecture-and-test model faces its Blockbuster moment."

Invaded to... I think I was annexed to the butterfly federation after the cat empire lost the war.
And we also had these little transparent ones too, but I wasn't able to catch them in a picture as they small ones fly with out placing themselves more than on two seconds over a plant D:<

So... we have an old pic! and also a better old pic of the last white/black large butterfly.

n/n 🧵
A small butterfly with a set of wings that are mostly transparent with only lac borders on both and just a few very thing black lines on them. The butterfly has a large black patch on the tip of the upper wings with a thick white line and they appear to be made of glass, small and fragile. A white butterfly showing its very large white, black and transparent wings with large tail like structures on them as the sun shines over them
The social, boat billed and the kiskadees are not very... rhythmic about how they sing!

P.S. I usually call a song to everything that comes out of a bird, sorry for that... I suppose it is a personal issue but need to correct that 😂
and with the tree making even more flowers... WTF!

I think more will come eventually!

... 6/n 🧵
A small butterfly with wings of a reddish brown tone is perched over small white flowers. Its body is completely velveted and posses apparently a barely visible white surface on the lower half f the body, while the head, third and abdomen are also fully reddish-brown. A large butterfly with its wings folded. The insect possesses orange wings with black lines as it is seen over a green leaf. Its body has paler brown tones and brown eyes with black antennas. A medium size butterfly with dark wings and a metallic dark blue tone on its thorax and centre of its wings is seen as it feeds over small white flowers. The butterfly presents a white border on the back and white patches on the upper wings which have a nice contrasts against its main black tone. It also has big dark eyes with a grey area between the thorax and its head. In the pic it is also seen how it presents long hairs on its wings A very large butterfly, this one is half visible as it s partially obscured by the branches of the bush. The insect posses very large white wings with thin black lines and some red dots on them. Not seen int he pic are its large tail like structures on its wings and semi transparent areas. Its body bosses black and white lines parallel to the main length of its body.
and they are extremely territorial with each other; however, so far they are all sharing the place without fighting too much... 5/n 🧵
A small butterfly with a very small body, almost te same size as its wings is seen fading with its proboscis out over small white flowers. The eyes are huge and cute and reflect the sunlight. Its body colour is pale brown on the lower portion of the body and darker on top. Its wings have a gradient colour from pale brown to dark brown from its base to its tips respectively. A bitterly is when perched over white small flowers, The bitter fly feeds on them and posses very dark wings with a blue metallic iridescent gradient on the upper part of its wings that starts on its thorax but is not visible on the picture. That patch goes on over its wings and changes rapidly to black. It also posses a thin sky blue line on its metallic blue iridescent patch. A butterfly with pale brown wings is seen over small white flowers, it posses a small tail like structure on the lower wings and paler white lines on the lower part of the wings which are observed when they are folded. It has very dark, rounded and cute eyes. A large very large butterfly with a set of wings that has large green ruby colours bordered with black lines. The butterfly has large brown eyes and a body with white and darker tones; however, only its head and upper thorax are visible.
And the number of species keeps increasing slowly. Sadly I have not been able to take pics of every each one of them but this are more or less between 1/3 to 1/2 of the species coming to the room... 4/n 🧵
A lack butterfly with a velveted body and even more velveted head is shown over some white flowers. The head posses an orange pumpking tone with larger ears than the body almost like cozy stuffed toy. The wings are black but have darker orange/reddish tone dots on the front wings and a whole white border on the wings that is thicker in the back than in the front. A small butterfly with small and rounded chunky style wings. The butterfly wings are open as it is perched over small white flowers. The wings posses a dark chocolate tine and a pattern of white and almost transparent areas on the upper wings. A butterfly with large wings possessing milk brown chocolate colour with wide white stripes and upper pale orange dots on the front wings. The butterfly is perched over small white flowers as it feeds. The butterfly body s white on the bottom and brown on the upper part but it is barely visible from this perspective, it also posses a pointy and tringular snout. A butterfly perched over small white flowers with its wings folded. The insect is feeding on them. It has has very dark chocolate tine wings with a paler brown tine in the lower wings and big dark cute eyes. Its proboscis can be seen as it probes the flowers for food.
And when I say invaded I mean it... after the rain I woke u to a flowering tree invading my wall size large window (so you cna get the size of the invasion) and butterflies flying inside and outside... 3/n 🧵
A small butterfly with a velveted body is shown perched over small white flowers as it feeds. The butterfly has a pattern of darker brown ones over a more clear set of lines of its wings. The butterfly resembles a velveted brown cozy surface with a chunky cute body with small short wings. A butterfly is shown over small white flowers, the insect has large wings with a main white colour and a pattern of boxes made with pale brown tone over the wing colour of its wings. It also has three black spots, two on its lower wings and one on its upper wings. A brown butterfly with dark brown patterns and white degraded tones over its wings is shown perched over small white flowers. Its thorns, head and abdomen also have the same pattern. A very small butterfly with dark wings is shown feeding from small white flowers. Its wings are just maybe two times larger than its body when folded and its presents a grey ring around its eyes as a dark brown velveted body.
