We just submitted a paper to IEEE ICASSP 2026 with id>17000. This is crazy, as it means that the number of submissions increased significantly compared to last year (more than 3x).

This is very common in standardization, unfortunately, where they also meet like 10 days in a row. I’ve also seen this in some conferences where they start/end on Sunday/Saturday. I’m not a fan of this (anymore).
