Watching the Dallas Independent School District Board of Trustees meeting. Dozens of residents are speaking during public comment, all demanding the board ban ICE from Dallas school property.

People are incandescent. If you're an elected Dem and still don't get this, I don't know what to tell you.

Some people think this is an exaggeration but I will say that if I were HHS Secretary and my goal were to kill as many children as possible, it would be difficult to distinguish the actions I would take from those that Kennedy has taken.

I agree with this. The whistleblower letter written on behalf of Erez Reuveni, a former DOJ senior immigration lawyer, basically describes in extensive detail a contumacious if not criminal course of conduct by Emil Bove and other senior officials at DOJ.
The Bove allegations should be treated as something akin to Watergate, or Iran Contra. The administration was attempting to do something they *knew* was illegal (anticipating the courts saying as much), and then trying to COVER IT UP. Only here instead of it being run out of the WH or NSC, it’s DOJ

After getting blocked the first time, Sen. Mike Lee is revising his land grab plan and trying to sneak it back into the “Big 💩 Bill.” The new proposal would force the sale of up to 1.2 million acres of public land managed by the Bureau of Land Management.

My state has had a legislative GOP supermajority for 22 years. Missouri is ranked:

50th in classroom funding
49th in starting teacher pay
7th highest in gun deaths
6th highest in maternal mortality

Republicans can’t govern and you can look at every red state to come to that conclusion.

MAGA gets all misty-eyed with nostalgia for the 1950s. And it’s not just the White Supremacy. They think of it as a time of great prosperity. But they don't realize that government programs like the GI Bill were driving much of that prosperity. You know, socialism.

Corporate profits have hit record highs.

CEOs are paid 290x as much as a typical worker.

We're subsidizing huge corporations that pay lousy wages through food stamps and Medicaid.

But instead of cracking down on corporate greed, Republicans want to punish the working poor.

She falls below the poverty line. Medicaid isn’t a handout. It’s her lifeline.
